Highland Spring is the exclusive drinks sponsor to Andy Murray, the UK’s hottest tennis star. The deal also includes, Wimbledon doubles champion Jamie and the boys’ mum Judy.
The brothers both wear Highland Spring's logo on their shirt sleeves and drink the bottled water as part of their diet and hydration regime.
Using their status as two of the UK’s biggest sporting stars and fitting with Highland Spring’s brand strategy of hydration in sport, 3x1 created a national media relations campaign to appeal to adults and kids.
Andy has a great passion for developing children in tennis which forms the basis for most PR activity including a branded competition on GMTV and tennis coaching clinics with The Sun and Sunday Mail.
Highland Spring was also a ‘major supporter’ of Glasgow’s winning 2014 Commonwealth Games bid. To support this 3x1 negotiated sponsorship of The Herald's first pod/ videocast series which resulted in a world-exclusive of the brothers interviewed together, before Wimbeldon.
Capitalising on Jamie’s win as Wimbledon mixed doubles champion, an exclusive interview was set up with Sky Sports magazine. Judy is also used throughout our campaign reinforcing her role as performance and talent scout for the Lawn Tennis Association.
