Destination Loch Ness appointed 3x1 to publicise its bid to secure World Heritage Status for the area. The brief quickly expanded and we helped promote Loch Ness as an ideal family break destination across the national and Scottish media.
The successful World Heritage Bid campaign included a VIP briefing on board a passenger cruiser on Loch Ness and a photocall with key personnel. Media interviews were set up with Sky News, BBC Scotland, (radio and Reporting Scotland), North Tonight, MFR and Sky News Radio. Coverage was also secured in The Times, Guardian, Herald, Aberdeen Press & Journal, Inverness Courier and Scotsman. The story went global with coverage appearing on news channels in the USA and Australia.
3x1 also worked extensively with the national lifestyle media to secure press trips and competitions aiming at the family market.
