Scotland’s best loved homes exhibition returns for an ‘ideal’ day out in 2018

With the welcome return of the Eat and Drink Festival, first seen alongside the show last year, the four day event will showcase the latest trends and products in interiors, home renovations and gardens.

Special guests include Phil Spencer and Rosemary Shrager with more famous faces from the world of homes and interiors still to be announced.

Perfect for Scotland’s foodies, the Eat and Drink Festival is set to tempt the taste buds with chef masterclasses at the Foodie Stage and selections of Scotland’s best produce and flavours at the Artisan Producers Market.

Highlights also include the Ideal Show Garden and plant market created by charity partner Erskine, the Super Theatre for top tips and demonstrations and the Ideal Roomsets with interiors inspiration for your home living space, as well as a firm favourite – the Champagne Bar.

The Innovation Home connected by Scottish Gas will take centre stage with this year’s masterpiece focusing on the theme of transformation. A typical Victorian town house, remodeled for modern day living with an unusual layout will feature the latest in home innovation, showcasing smart technologies which are increasingly popular in Scottish homes. The transformation theme continues throughout the show with a dedicated Smart Home Renovation area, perfect for tech-heads to get to grips with the latest gadgets.

New for 2018, the Home Renovation section features dedicated areas for kitchens and bathrooms, build renovation and Smart Homes. Within this section visitors will find the Renovation Advice Hub, where they have the chance to get valuable, free advice in exclusive one-to-one sessions with the experts, from architects, interior designers and landscape gardeners to kitchens and bathroom specialists.

Rob Nathan, Group Marketing Director at Media 10 said: “This event has grown to become the biggest and best show of its kind in Scotland and we’re delighted to bring back the Eat and Drink Festival for another year, with an exclusive late night opening on Thursday 31 May.

“Whether you’re undertaking a big build, a home renovation or getting your feet onto the property ladder for the first time, there’s something for everyone at the Ideal Home Show Scotland.”
