Julie McGarvey
Co-Founder
Julie co-founded 3x1 Public Relations with Cameron Grant in 2001. With 20 years consultancy experience in Scotland and London, she is a specialist in strategic communications campaigns with strengths in consumer brand building, corporate and B2B and crisis/issue management.
She is an adviser to the University of Stirling’s MSc in Public Relations and is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations and former chair of CIPR Scotland.
Julie’s media career spanned the BBC and Radio Clyde after graduating from Strathclyde University in modern languages and business studies. Before 3x1 she was a director of one of the UK’s leading independent PR consultancies.
Recent campaigns include Highland Spring Group, Diageo Scotland, Winning Scotland Foundation, Cairn Energy/Heriot-Watt Strategic Alliance, Quality Meat Scotland, Scotland Food & Drink, Seafood Fortnight and the 2008 Acrobatic Gymnastics World Championships.
